Short Term Disability Long Term Disability and

California State Disability Insurance (SDI) is a state disability program available to you if you become
disabled due to a non-work-related accident or illness. Once you have been disabled for seven
consecutive days, you may receive 60-70% of your weekly earnings, up to the CA SDI/EDD set
weekly max for a maximum of 52 weeks.

Long Term Disability (LTD) income replacement protects you if you are disabled for an extended period of time. If you become totally and permanently disabled, benefits begin 180 days after the start of your illness or injury. Long Term Disability works with State Disability, Social Security and any other group disability coverage, to provide you with a combined monthly benefit.
